Meet Aparna Athreya
She is the Founder of Story Triangle which she founded in 2015. She is also the Founder of and Kid & Parent Foundation which she founded in 2011
Kid and Parent Foundation is the only organization in the country that trains and develops individuals in areas of self and social development by harnessing the power of multiple intelligence. Through the use of tools such as stories, art, music, theatre and sports, it aims to foster cognitive, social and emotional development at an individual and a community level. Kid and Parent Foundation has works with over 300 schools year on year and impacted the lives of innumerable children and parents. It has also trained more than 10,000 educators and academicians from around the country on empowering them to create happy classrooms.
Story Triangle is a venture of Kid and Parent Foundation that works with leadership teams on topics such as Gender Parity, Mentorship, Leadership, Business Storytelling, Personal Branding and more.
Story Triangle is grounded in the principles of self discovery, self growth and generating value for the community. Story Triangle is passionate about mentoring, coaching and developing professionals across Industries on leadership and organizational skills. Additionally, Story Triangle focuses on Diversity and Inclusion initiatives for women across socio-economic strata. Story Triangle has works extensively with large corporate and has coached over 2,000 professionals across Industry domains. The organization also partners with NGOs and has empowered over 8,000 women and young adults on personal leadership and life skills. The vision of the organization is to develop deeply aware and well balanced individuals across the nation.
Prior to founding Kid & Parent Foundation, Aparna worked for 17 years in the software industry with organizations like Infosys, IBM, Cognizant Technologies and so on across product development, core delivery, client facing roles before moving into the field of education and development.
Aparna is a Member Board of Trustees at Canara Bank Financial Advisory Trust where she builds awareness on financial literacy across the rural sector. She is also an Advisory Board Member at Bridges of Sports and Convener at Membership Task Force at CII’s Indian Women Network (IWN).
Aparna is also a speaker and addresses various leadership teams, school-principal summits and educational conferences. She is a TEDX speaker on Storytelling and Multiple Intelligence.
She has been awarded Women Entrepreneur by Canara Bank in 2016. She was featured as a leading entrepreneur in The Hindu Metroplus in 2016 and was listed as a most influential woman in Bangalore by Polka Cafe in 2015.
Aparna considers the sight of unabashed smiles on the faces of little children as they listen to her story, as her greatest accomplishment. In these smiles, she believes, lie great truths, curious thoughts, deep emotions and undeniable transformations. Besides this, another moment of great privilege was when she was invited to interact with Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Mann Ki Baat platform in Sep 2020.
